I am so excited to introduce Melissa Myers. She is a beautiful woman, mother, wife and worshiper! She loves the Lord with all her heart and expresses it beautifully through her music which will be featured in our new category – Rest and Renew – beginning January, 2013. Welcome Melissa!!

Melissa Meyer for Rest and Renew

There is such beauty in lyric and song. God designed music to reach a nation who is lost and deprived of true happiness.

Melissa Myers is set out on a mission to spread the Love of Christ through the praises from her lips. As a young girl, she always had a desire to sing while her father prayed for people in the nursing home, out on the streets and in the home. She realized that through praises, demons could not stick around.

Where there is worship there is healing, salvation and true acceptance .

Melissa began songwriting at the age of fourteen. This songwriting would help her through her own spiritual battles with depression and low self esteem . It is a spiritual battle and with her worship, she was able to be on the front lines of this war and praised through those issues. She believes that through worship, there is freedom from religion . Chains break and love is released.

Melissa is married to Trey Myers and has three beautiful children. As a family, they travel to preach and spread the Love of Christ. She is on the Brownsville Assembly of God Worship team and continues to write with passion and desire to reach the depressed and lost. Melissa’s favorite scripture from which her writings are compelled is Psalm 34:18 from the Message Bible.

“If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.” Psalm 34:18 (MSG)

Aaaaaah (Deep Breath) – what an amazing scripture to know that God is in control and desires to help us in our time of need.

I am so honored and blessed to be joining forces with Not aLone Mom. This site has helped me become the Mother that I know God intended me to be. The fact that I’m not alone as a mom of three is so comforting. I know the Lord has put this opportunity in my life not only to minister to others in song, but to be ministered to as well. God is ready to speak to us! Can’t wait to listen and grow with you all! – Melissa
